Combining inspired vision with hard work and dedication, Connie Golds co-founded and oversees Desert Best Friend’s Closet.
Connie has a demonstrated history of commitment and service in Palm Desert and the Coachella Valley beyond her work as the co-founder of Desert Best Friend’s Closet. She serves on the Scholarship Committee of the Desert Community Foundation, and is a Board member of Women Leaders Forum of the Desert. Past service includes being a founding member of Sheltering Sisters, the auxiliary for Shelter From the Storm, as well as co-chair of the UCLA Alumni Scholarship Committee. MATTHEW CAMPOS, Director of Development and Programs
Matthew Campos came to Desert Best Friend’s Closet under contract in 2014 to develop the “Bridge to Employment” program, bringing job search readiness skills training and job placement services to the clients of DBFC. He joined the team full time in July 2015. Before coming to Desert Best Friend’s Closet Matthew was a placement services representative for Goodwill Southern California where he was for 8 years. He oversaw the One Stop center providing services to 3000 clients annually.

ROB GRIMM, Volunteer Coordinator
Rob Grimm came to Desert Best Friend’s Closet as a volunteer mentor in the “Bridge to Employment” program in 2016. He currently assists at the weekly job club program and helps clients in the job search process.
